Josiah Millar

Managing Director

When Josiah founded Brighter Living Care in 2019, it was with the aim of making a positive change to the way people are supported. Josiah identified that there was a need for a truly person-centred approach to support and that this should be available to everyone.

As the Managing Director of Brighter Living, he has led the company to fully embrace this ethos, building a dedicated team who are committed to offering bespoke support to individuals and their families.

Josiah holds a degree in business studies and has a proven history of successfully establishing and growing thriving organisations. He has a strong passion for nurturing high-performing teams and excels at improving operations and promoting innovation to make a positive impact.

He is passionate about being the provider of choice for bespoke support and compassionate care for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex care needs.

Heidi Prior

Operations Manager

Heidi embarked on her journey in the care field in 1997 by working as a 1:1 support worker at a local authority day service. She later transitioned to a not-for-profit organisation in Surrey, where she dedicated 16 years of her career. Starting as a Deputy Manager, Heidi progressively assumed different roles, ultimately reaching the position of Senior Manager. In this role, she oversaw six service managers responsible for residential and supported living services.

Heidi is deeply passionate about fostering creative thinking, delivering high-quality support, and all aspects related to people. Heidi finds great satisfaction in her responsibilities as Operations Manager at Brighter Living, particularly in team management, and is dedicated to advancing Brighter Living as a leading company in supporting individuals.

Currently, she holds an NVQ 3 in Health and Social care, an NVQ level 4 in Promoting Independence, a Registered Managers award, and a CMI level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. Furthermore, Heidi is actively working towards obtaining her level 7 qualification in Strategic Management.

Georgina Lee-Walker

Registered Manager

Georgina has worked in various areas of care for 19 years and has a passion for ensuring every person has the tools and support they require to lead happy and successful lives.

Georgina grew up with a sibling who had and still has intensive care support needs and through caring for them, she developed a passion to ensure all people with care needs have access to personalised high-quality support.

Georgina studied to become a Social Worker but felt that this role was not hands-on enough to provide the best support to individuals. As a Registered Manager at Brighter Living, Georgina gets to know all the people she supports and is proud of the high quality, individualised care that Brighter Living’s dedicated support teams provide.

Jo is passionate about being able to offer the best quality care and is not afraid to challenge the status quo in order to keep making improvements.

She works with all members of staff to ensure that they fully embrace Brighter Living’s high standards of quality and that duty of care is followed at all times.
